The Learning module (LMS) lets you author courses, deliver them to your people or customers and track completion. Authoring lives at /learning/author, management at /learning/manage, and learners work from their home page and track view.
Anatomy of a course
- Course: title, description, cover, category and skills it teaches.
- Modules and lessons: rich text, media and interactive blocks, in order.
- Assessments: quizzes with a pass mark; passing marks the module quizPassed.
- Completion rules: a module counts as completed when the learner finishes it and, where a quiz exists, passes it.
Authoring a course
- 1Open Learning > Author and choose New course.
- 2Add modules; inside each, add lessons using text, video, files and interaction blocks.
- 3Add a quiz where you need proof of understanding and set the pass mark.
- 4Optionally start from a template, or use Cortex to draft lessons and questions, then edit them.
- 5Preview as a learner, then publish.
Assigning and enrolling
- 1In Learning > Manage, open the course and choose Assign.
- 2Select individuals, a team or a role; because learners are the same people as in People, org data drives the audience.
- 3Set a due date and whether it is mandatory.
- 4Learners are notified and see it on their track.
Tracking
- Progress per learner and module, with completion and quiz results.
- Analytics and Reports for completion rates, overdue assignments and time spent.
- Discussions attach to a course for learner questions.
- Bulk operations and CSV import help load learners and results at scale.
