Recruiting, ATS & careers page

Raise requisitions, post jobs, run candidates through stages and publish a public careers site.

8 min read

The applicant tracking system (ATS) manages open roles and the candidates applying to them. The careers page publishes those roles publicly and feeds applications straight back in, so a hire flows into People without re-entry.

Start with a requisition

A requisition is the internal request to open a role. It runs through the REQUISITION approval chain (for example department head, then HR). Only approved requisitions should become published jobs.

Creating and publishing a job

  1. 1Open People > Recruiting and choose New job.
  2. 2Enter title, department, location, employment type and description.
  3. 3Set the hiring stages (for example Applied, Screen, Interview, Offer, Hired).
  4. 4Set the status to open and publish to the careers page.
  5. 5Share the job URL; it shows on your public careers site and jobs feed.

Working candidates

  • Applicants apply online and appear in Candidates (/people/candidates).
  • Move a candidate between stages by drag or the stage menu.
  • Leave scorecard feedback and notes; teammates see them in the candidate timeline.
  • Reject with a reason to keep your pipeline analytics honest.

Hiring

  1. 1Move the candidate to the offer stage and generate the offer letter.
  2. 2Send it for e-signature (People > E-sign) so the signed copy is filed automatically.
  3. 3Choose Convert to employee to create the employee record from the candidate.
  4. 4Start onboarding tasks and set the manager so approvals resolve.
Closing a job removes it from the careers page and the public jobs feed at once. Applicants already in the pipeline stay visible to your team.
The public application form is unauthenticated by design, so enable spam protection and review new candidates regularly.
