Grid projects and views

Find your way around Grid: the project header, Overview, Board, List, Timeline (Gantt) and Calendar.

7 min read

Grid is Limnn's project and issue tracker. Every Grid page shares one header: a project switcher, view tabs, a Create issue button, jump search and an insights drawer. Choosing a project in the switcher filters every view to that project.

The views

  • Overview (/grid): KPIs, issues assigned to you, recently updated issues, the current sprint (or a prompt to start one), status mix and quick links.
  • Board (/grid/board): full-height columns per status with counts, quick add and drag and drop. Group the board into swimlanes by assignee, priority or epic.
  • List (/grid/list): a sticky table with inline editing, collapsible groups and inline create.
  • Timeline (/grid/timeline): a Gantt chart with week, month and quarter zoom, weekends and a today line. Drag a bar to move an issue, drag its edge to change its dates, and schedule issues from the unscheduled tray.
  • Calendar (/grid/calendar): a Monday-first month grid with status chips; on a phone it becomes an agenda.

More planning tools

The header also links to Sprints, Releases, Roadmaps, OKRs, Portfolios, Retros, Recurring issues, Intake forms, Automations, Reports and, for managers, Team capacity.

Plan a release on the timeline

  1. 1Pick the project in the switcher and open Timeline.
  2. 2Choose the zoom that fits the plan: week for a sprint, month or quarter for a roadmap.
  3. 3Drag unscheduled issues onto the chart to give them dates.
  4. 4Drag bars to reschedule and resize them to change start and due dates; the issue updates immediately.
  5. 5Switch to Board grouped by epic to check the work is balanced.
Board insights are collapsed by default so every column fits on screen. Open the insights drawer from the header when you want Cortex's read on the project.
